Island Creek Oyster Bar
Island Creek Oyster Bar in Burlington, MA is the perfect date night location. The moment you walk in you will be impressed with the ambiance and interior decor. We were seated right away at the cutest high top table and immediately handed the cocktail menu (my kind of place!).
Besides the refreshing sparkling water we ordered, I started off with the a drink called “Yass Queen” – I felt this was fitting lol. It consisted of “Never be your side chick” vodka (the name sold me), cucumber lemon oleo and bubbles (which I am assuming is something like club soda). Let me tell you – it was the most refreshing crisp cocktail I have ever had.
Next I perused the food menu. From a raw bar to fish and chips, it was hard to make a decision. I decided that we should start with the crispy oyster sliders. OMG! The chili lime aioli that comes on this small bite item added just enough flavor and spice to keep us wanting more. It was the perfect appetizer to begin with.
By this time I was ready for cocktail number 2 (because who only has one cocktail?) I sure don’t. So I decided to try a cocktail that caught my eye called “A Last Request”. IT WAS SO GOOD! With “Dancing on the table tequila” (my kind of night), lillet blanc and lemon pamplemousse rosé, it was definitely not a disappointment. Plus, it was a very pretty drink.
It was hard to make decision on what to order as my main course because everything sounded so good. I went with a warm buttered lobster roll. Chunky lobster, warm butter on a rosemary roll. I will say I could have done without the roll because it ended up just being too soggy for my taste. But the lobster was A-MA-ZING. I squeezed a little lemon on it and went on a flavor ride that I did not want to get off of.
At this point I am stuffed. BUT you know what they say – there is always room for dessert. I ordered the Caramel Apple Cheesecake to go. Almond oat crumble and a spiced macaron – my mouth was watering.
The service was on point, our glasses were never empty, the food came hot and the table was never left dirty.
